Male Infertility
Like treatment for female fertility issues, almost all aspects of male infertility can benefit from treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Using a combination of acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, dietary and lifestyle changes, sperm count and quality can certainly be improved, while some physical blockages can also be reduced or resolved. Similarly, hormonal imbalances (such as low testosterone) can be resolved by bringing the entire body back into balance.
Typical TCM patterns seen in male infertility issues are:
Kidney Yang Deficiency (typically seen with sperm motility issues)
Kidney Yin Deficiency (typically seen with liquifaction issues)
Deficiency of Qi or Blood (typically seen with low sperm count or low testosterone levels)
Stasis of Qi and Blood (typically seen in sperm morphology issues as well as varicoceles)
With regular acupuncture treatments, sperm quality and hormone levels can be significantly improved over a period of 2-3 months.
For those men who opt to follow Katie’s advice on taking particular supplements, following the dietary and lifestyle advice, and/or taking prescribed Chinese Herbal Medicine, the outcome can be even greater.
